Art-making is like being an explorer. The uncharted territory of the psyche, like 'deepest, darkest Africa', is eventually brought to the light of consciousness, but not without struggle. It is like wandering around in the dark trying to find the different doors. Here I found the 'almond' shape reocurring. Through a series of synchronistic event I learned that the archetypal name is 'yoni' and it is the symbol of primal feminine energy.
